Flight department recruiting

Flight department roles we recruit.

Response Aviation Search recruits the pilots, leaders and crew who fly, run and safeguard private aircraft. A search can address one seat or the team needed to staff an entire flight department.

01

The right responsibilities come before the right résumé.

Job titles vary between flight departments. The same Chief Pilot title can describe a hands-on flying position in one operation and a broader leadership role in another. Before a search begins, we align the title with actual authority, workload and expectations.

We consider the aircraft, mission, department size and reporting relationships so that candidates understand the role they are being asked to take on.

02

Flight deck, leadership and cabin.

Captain

Private jet Captain searches consider qualifications and relevant aircraft experience alongside judgment, communication and compatibility with the existing crew and principal.

First Officer

A First Officer joins an operating team, not simply a vacant seat. The search considers experience, working relationships and the department’s expectations for development and continuity.

Chief Pilot

Chief Pilot recruiting connects flight deck experience with the leadership the department needs. We clarify the flying commitment, crew responsibilities and relationship with the Director of Aviation or owner.

Director of Aviation

A Director of Aviation search looks at the link between the flight department and the organization it serves: leadership, reporting, staffing strategy, compensation and long-term continuity.

Director of Maintenance

Maintenance leadership is part of the structure that safeguards the aircraft. We define the role and its relationship to aviation leadership before identifying and vetting candidates.

Flight Attendant

Cabin crew recruiting considers the mission and passenger experience, including discretion, service expectations and the working relationship with the rest of the crew.

03

One role or a complete crew.

For an established department, a focused search can support a planned transition or an immediate staffing priority. For a new aircraft or a broader reorganization, defining the complete department first helps avoid overlapping responsibilities and gaps in ownership.

Our search process includes collaborative intake, vetted shortlists, reference and record checks, decision support and onboarding planning. Compensation guidance provides context for attracting and retaining the people the operation needs.
